Takinogawa River is another name of the Shakujii River that runs through Ōji. Since Asuka-yama was nearby, the current in this part of the river is rapid and so the area received many visitors as a nature rich resort place where some waterfalls such as Fudō-no-taki and Benten-no-taki can be seen.
