Gohyaku Rakan Statue from "Guide to Famous Spots of Edo Vol.7"
Compiled by Saitō Chōshū, Painted by Hasegawa Settan 1834-1836 (Tempō 5 to Tempō 7) Kaga Collection 256

Gohyaku Rakan-ji Temple in Tenonzan was originally located in Honjo Itsutsume (present Ōjima, Kōtō Ward) and a large temple with six thousands tsubo (20,000 square meters) precinct. Since it was ruined by severe storms and earthquakes in later Edo period, now only remains a small temple hall.
