Shinagawa has been always introduced as one of the best spots for shellfish gathering together with Suzaki in Fukagawa. Shinagawa, which prospered as a seaside post station was a year-round resort and offered sakura (cherry blossoms) and shellfish gathering in spring and autumnal leaves in the fall.
