Jōshin-ji is a temple of the Jōdo Buddhism situated in Okusawa, Setagaya Ward and its appellation (sangō) was Kuhon-zan. Kuhonbutsu refers to the nine images of Amidanyōrai (Amitabha Tathagata) enshrined in Jōshin-ji and also became the commonly known name of the temple.
