Compiled by Saitō Chōshū, Painted by Hasegawa Settan 1834-1836 (Tempō 5 to Tempō 7) Kaga Collection 256

The description states Tsukudajima began when Ieyasu Tokugawa entered Edo to set up the Shogunate. During this time, fishermen from Settsu Province were made to settle in the area and carry out fishing there. During November to March every year, the ice fish caught in Sumida River would be brought to Edo Castle.
