Tokyo Metropolitan Central Library has the largest number of books for a public library. Its archives and the invaluable materials stored there are shown.

Tokyo Metropolitan Central Library participated in the restoration of local publications and manuscripts of Iwate Prefectural Rikuzentakata Municipal Library that was devastated by tsunami in the Great East Japan Earthquake. The video is a record of salvaging, repairing and restoring the damaged materials.
